Spice up your fish tacos with Freaky Sauces Saffron & Rose. It's easy to make and adds a unique flavor to the dish.
Ingredients
- 40g cilantro
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 10-15 radishes, thinly sliced
- 1 small kohlrabi, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, zested and juiced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Freaky Sauces Saffron & Rose
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 5 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 10cl beer
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2-3 cod fillets, sliced
- Neutral frying oil, for frying
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- Tortilla bread

Step 1
In a bowl, mix the cilantro, red onion, radishes, and kohlrabi to make the slaw.

Step 2
In another bowl, mix the mayonnaise, lemon zest and juice, lime zest and juice, and Freaky Sauces Saffron & Rose to make the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3
In a third bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, beer, turmeric, salt, and pepper to make the batter. It should be thick enough to coat the fish.

Step 4
Heat the frying oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Dip each cod slice in the batter, making sure it's well coated, and fry for a couple of minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Finally, drain the fried fish on paper towels and fry up the excess batter for a crunchy finish.

Step 5
Dress the slaw with olive oil, white wine vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste. Warm the tortillas in the oven or on a pan. Assemble the tacos by spreading some sauce on each tortilla, adding a few slices of fish, some slaw, and more cilantro. Zest more lime and top with Freaky Sauces Saffron & Rose and fried batter. Serve immediately.
